When I was 18 years old, I was in Karuizawa for short job at summer resort.
I was there with other 5 people.
We were staying at shabby small old house.
And we all went to work by car packed like sardgnes.
But no one ate any food in the morning.
It was more than I could bear
So, I always had Bananas ready for morning.
Banana wasn't ever really my favorite food,though.
Just thought it's vary comvenient and nourishing.
And I didn't want to disturb other friends.
After 3 or 4 days, Oya-san (who stayed with us) said to me,
"Are you Bananan?"

１８歳の夏休み、軽井沢で少し働いていました

他の５人と一緒に川岸のボロい山小屋での共同生活でした

私達は一台の車で朝起きてすぐ仕事場へぎゅうぎゅう詰めになって揺れる道を通いました

私には朝食抜きで働く事が耐えられませんでした

それで皆に迷惑をかけずに簡単なものででも栄養がしっかり取れるもの、はバナナだと思い付きました

けっしてバナナが私の大好物だった訳ではないのですが

それから毎朝バナナを食べながら仕事場へ向かいました

そうしてるとオオヤさんは

”お前はバナナンか”

と言いました

そして皆も私をバナナンと呼ぶようになりました
